The Triathlon involves three of Salem’s premier parks: Wallace Marine Park, Riverfront Park, and Minto-Brown Island Park. Participants will swim in the Willamette River, bike past downtown Salem and along rural River Road South, and run across the newly constructed Peter Courtney Minto Island Bridge.
The River Run will cross the Willamette Slough at Peter Courtney Minto Island Bridge and enter Minto-Brown Island Park, then back across the bridge with the finish line at Riverfront Park.
Funds raised from this event will be used to support Rotary’s local and international humanitarian projects that promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, support education, and grow local economies.
